Seven Undervalued Players Who Can Provide Quality HR and SB Production
An in-depth, deep dive into seven under-the-radar hitters you should consider trading for if your fantasy team needs additional home runs and stolen bases.
Looking for home run production in under-the-radar trade targets? Looking to add stolen base production to your fantasy team’s roster? Looking for players who can contribute in both categories?
Well… look no further.
I did something similar in March, but with the season in full swing, and some players’ underlying stats tallying a different story than their surface-level production, now’s the perfect time to work out a trade.
Of course, acquiring a player who can provide quality production both from a power and stolen base standpoint is easier said than done. Of the 36 qualified batters who logged at least 18 stolen bases last season, 15 had an ISO below league average.
The league average ISO, last season, for reference, was .153. Among those 21 qualified batters who had at least 18 stolen bases and an ISO above league average, four more had ISO numbers in the .160 range.
So you get it, it’s not exactly common.
Many of the players who are (simply put) good at stealing bases and hitting home runs who are were early-round draft picks and thus unlikely to be going anywhere via trade.
Still, there are a number of potentially undervalued fantasy players who you should be targeting in trades who could provide a boost in both home run and stolen base production.
These are seven of those players.
Players who could make the difference in both statistical categories to help you win your league, whether it’s head-to-head or Roto.
(Spoilers, look to acquire these players in smaller deals or as ancillary players in larger, more blockbuster-like deals.)
