League Winners Week 4: An Ace and Three (Potentially) Elite Hitters
This week: An ace with a bloated ERA, but ace-like underlying metrics, a potential top-10 overall player, plus two of the league's best sluggers so far (hint, they're not obvious)
In this week’s League Winners, an ace who has been a fantasy ace for years, and likely will continue to be one. It’s just he has a decidedly bloated ERA. Otherwise, most of his underlying metrics point to ace-like production.
Elsewhere, three hitters who have the potential to help you easily win your league this season. All three are trade candidates for different reasons.
One is posting good numbers, but really has been elite where quality of contact metrics are concerned and could finish the year as a top-10 (or better) fantasy player.
Another was likely an early-round pick this spring, but other fantasy managers might not be thrilled with the early-season production. The surface-level production, that is. Everything else has been great from an underlying and quality of contact standpoint.
The third batter has been among the league’s elite power hitters so far in what’s looking like a breakout campaign from a power-production standpoint. The veteran hasn’t been a prolific power hitter in his career, but his early-season power production is extremely promising. If another fantasy manager in your league thinks it’s a fluke, now might be the perfect time to work out a trade.
Really, it’s the ideal time to work out a trade for all four.
All four could help you take home a fantasy championship this fall.
