For whatever the case may be, bullpen additions and bullpen transactions in general seem to be the recent theme de jour recently. Or at least one of them, anyways.
At any rate, the recent moves have created potentially vastly different closing situations in Chicago and Kansas City. Similarly, bullpen hierarchies (at least where ancillary save options are concerned) have shifted across the league as well, shaking things up aplenty for fantasy managers.
That’s created some changes in the top 50 relievers chart with some relief pitchers being replaced on the board. That’s more due to the influx of potentially interesting and now under-the-radar relievers like Hodge (more on him shortly) who now find themselves in potentially different bullpen roles, but are still worth keeping an eye on or even stashing for fantasy managers given the fantasy ceiling if injuries or ineffectiveness strike.
As always, each month as a paid subscriber exclusive I’ll be listing 50 interesting relievers (in no particular order), some new, some not while adding notes and analysis much in the same way the top 500 redraft and top 700 dynasty updates work and are structured. There are a few closers listed as well. That’s not to say most closers aren’t interesting fantasy options. They are, this is more about finding the right relievers, regardless of scoring format, to help you win your league.
The relievers will be in a table similar to the trade value and rankings charts, with analysis and notes accompanying the chart.
Whether the relievers are more saves stash options, or are players who help keep your weekly ERA and WHIP scores down, they’ll be covered here each month as a paid subscriber exclusive. Maybe they're a player to add in saves+holds leagues. Whatever the case may be, it’ll be your resource for all things fantasy relievers of note.
As always, the goal here is to help you win your leagues, and finding the right relievers can be crucial in that regard, regardless of the role they’ll be playing on your roster.
So without further ado, let’s dive into it.
